Played center at West Virginia. The man knew football inside and out. Not only X and O's, but knew the psychology of the game as well. I will never forget some of things he said to me. One time he said, "Youngy if I did't like you I wouldn't waste my time picking on you all the time, now get your ass out there and kill somebody". Like · Reply · 2w Joan Rhody Mr. Jolley was on the Coudersport Library Board I believe and or an officer of the Friends of the Library! That’s how I got to know him outside of his teaching. He played his college ball at Glenville State in West Virginia.When Coach Jolly was Coudy's Head Football coach, his assistant was Mike Boro also a Freedom Pa H.S. grad who was a team mate of Bernie's at Glemville. Boro was recruited to play at Kentucky by the legendary Bear Bryant. A knee injury resulted in Mike losing his scholarship, thus a transfer to play at Glenville. Durimg a game vs. Juniata College, Bernie went head to head against Chuck Knox...who went on to become NFL Coach of the Year with three different franchises Seahawks, Bills and Rams.How 'bout them apples? 4Like · Reply · 2w Ken Cole Yup.
