Services will be private, with Dr. Robert Smith officiating. Burial will be in Marissa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Heil-Schuessler Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Sparta Church of Christ or the American Heart Association. Mr. Snyder had been a miner for Peabody Coal Co. He was a member of the Sparta Church of Christ. He was born July 25, 1932, in Wayne, W.Va, to Donald Ray and Betty Mae (McCoy) Snyder. He married Lotus V. Goodwin. She died Feb. 4, 1999.
