Delbert W. Baxter
Delbert W. Baxter, 76, of Main St., Roulette, PA, passed away Thursday (May 15, 2014) in his home, unexpectedly.
Born September 16, 1937, in Nelson, PA, he was a son of Franklyn L. and Laura Shields Baxter. On May 18, 1963, in Port Allegany, he married Janet A. Dunkelberger, who survives.
Delbert was employed with North Penn Gas Co. as operations manager, retiring in 1999, after 38 years of service.
US Army Vet
Mr. Baxter was also a veteran having served with the US Army.
He was a lifetime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, Class of 1955.
Delbert attended the Riverside Methodist Church of Roulette, was a member of F. & A.M. Liberty Lodge 505, Port Allegany, where he was a past master; member of Arnold Chapter 254, Port Allegany, Potter Commandery 69, Coudersport, Coudersport Consistory where he participated many years in the Passion Play, life member of the Roulette Fire Department, and was very active in the Boy Scouts of America,
Surviving in addition to his wife Janet, are a son, Timm F. (April) Baxter of Port Allegany; a daughter, Tammy S. (Stanley) Fox of Roulette; seven grandchildren: Joshua, Laura, and Ray Fox, Benn, Jacob, & Jennifer Baxter, and Tyler Tucker; two brothers, George F. (Dawn) Baxter, and Robert M. (Kaye) Baxter of Tioga, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Marci G. Baxter.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Monday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday (May 20, 2014) with Rev. H.D. Youngblood, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
A masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening in the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the Roulette Fire Department or Roulette Ambulance.

April M. Baxter, 44, of Port Allegany, PA, died Wednesday (November 14, 2018) at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport, PA.
She was born Apr 28, 1974 in Coudersport, a daughter of Edwin and Shirlee Covert Winans.
On September 14, 2002 in Kingston, Jamaica, she married Timm F. Baxter, who survives.
Mrs. Baxter was a 1992 graduate of Port Allegany High School.
Mrs. Baxter was a Office Coordinator, employed by UPMC-Cole at the Port Allegany Health Center.
She was a certified Phlebotomy Technician, a certified Pharmacy Technician, certified Professional Coder, a Register Health Information Technician and a certified Risk Assessment Coder. She was a member of the HCMA for 15 years and AAPC for 10 Years
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother Shirlee Winans
Three sons;
- Tyler J. Tucker,
- Benn F. Baxter,
- Jacob P. Baxter all of Port Allegany
- One daughter; Jennifer L. Baxter of Port Allegany
Two brothers;
- Rodney (Kelly) Winans, of Wellsville, NY and
- Edwin Winans. Jr. of Scio, NY
- One sister; Nikki (Shawn) Moore, of Coudersport
several nieces and nephews. .
She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc, 105 N. Main St., Port Allegany. Funeral and committal service will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes, Inc., Port Allegany with the Rev. Randall Headley, officiating.
- Burial will be in the Grimes Cemetery, Port Allegany.
Memorials if desired may be made to the Port Allegany Ambulance Service or the Port Allegany Fire Department
