Cole, 95, of 79 First St, died Sunday (Oct 26, 1986) in his home following a brief illness. Born July 13, 1891, in Oswayo, Pa he was a son of Frank and Myra Dawley Cole,. On Aug 27, 1955, he married the former Faith Stillson, who predeceased him in 1976. Mr Cole had been employed as a cusrtodian by the Olean Public School System prior to retiring in 1961. He was a former member of the United Brethren church of Millport, Pa. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Frederick (Beulah) Stives of Bolivar and Mrs Walter (Julia) Wilson of Shinglehouse, Pa; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren 13 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs Claude (Alta) Ford Shinglehouse. He was predeceased by a son, Howard Cole in 1968. Friends may call at the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc, Bolivar, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Tuesday (Oct 28, 1986) at 2 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Lester Bier, associate pastor of the First Baptist church of Olean, will officiate. - Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Bolivar.
