Obituary for Velma Turner, 1920-1976 (Aged 56) -
Mrs. Velma Turner Mrs. Velma Turner, 56, Canton RD1, N.Y., formerly of Campbell, N.Y., died Monday (Oct. 25, 1976) in the Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, N.Y. after a long illness.
She was born on Aug. 15, 1920 in Raymond, a daughter of Laverne and Carrie House Converse.
Survivors include
two sons,
- Duane Turner, Knoxville, and
- Charles Turner, Erie;
- a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Joyce) Hanes, Canton, N.Y. ;
12 grandchildren and one great grandchild;
three sisters,
- Mrs. George (Dora) Patmore, Cuddibackville, N.Y.,
- Mrs. Gerald (Blanche) Jeffers, Little Genesee, N.Y.,
- Mrs. James (Belva) Bradley, Baldwinsville, N.Y.;
four brothers,
- Arthur Converse and
Kenneth Converse, Massena, N.Y.,
- Clayton Converse, Genesee,
- Vernie Converse, Westfield.
Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home, Ulysses, Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held there Friday at 1:00p.m.
- Burial will be in the Raymond Cemetery.
