Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bishop of the nited States district and Mrs. Emma Towe of Ulysses were Sunday afterloon guests at the home of Joseph foulston. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Matteson, oseph Coulston and Mrs. Louise racy were shopping in Wellsville ue day last week. The Christmas tree was well atended. A fine play produced, which id credit to the ones who took part. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Coulston enertained for dinner on Christmas ay: Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Matteson, Ir. Joseph Coulston, Mrs. Ellen Woren and Master Gerald Hackett.
• Mr. and Mrs. Luman Merrick of Vellsville were callers at Lyman herman's on Christmas day. Henry Baker from Ellisburg was a ecent visitor of friends in this secion.
EDWARDS-CARY
A delightful wedding was solemted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. Edwards on Saturday evening, December 20, at 6 o'clock, when their harming daughter, Florence, was nited in marriage to Wesley Cary, on of and Mrs. Albert Cary of farrison Valley. The house was Mity eautifully decorated with pink and hite, graceful arch having been ercted of trailing pine interspread ith dainty white baskets filled with ink roses.
The bride and groom decended the tairs to the strains o fthe wedding march from Lohengrin. 'exquisitely layed by Mrs. D. L. Martin. They vere accompanied by the bride's rother, Howard Edwards and his rife. The bride was lovely in white repe de chine and tulle veil, and carlied a bouquet of pale pink roses and arcissus. The maid of honor wore aupe: canton crepe.
The ring ceremony was beautifulperformed by the Rev. D. L. Matin, followed directly by a buffet super served to the guests who were he irumediate friends and relatives of he family. The bridal party was erved at a small table decorated with pink candles, flowers and a huge redding cake. Dainty place cards vere given with each plate bearing 8 leautiful sentiment. Each guest read loud their card, after the supper as toast to the bride.
Mr. and Mrs. Cary left for parts unamid showers of rice and old hoes. Mrs. Cary is a graduate of garrison Valley High School and fansfield and is avery successful and eloved teacher. She will continue er school in Hornell, N. Y., where bey will reside for the present. Mr. Cary is a very successful young farmand a graduate of the Harrison Falley High School.
They are a splendid young couple and their many friends wish them all happiness and success in their marHied life.

C. Hyde residence in this place. W. A. Spencer and wife were Sunday guests at the James Staysa home in Shinglehouse.
Robert Blauvelt of Sharon, was a brief business visitor in town, Friday. Ward Cole and family of East Sharon, E. C. Hyde and family of Eleven Mile, ate Christmas dinner at the home of Mrs. Mary Cole.

HOLDS EXERCISES IN M.E. CHURCH
Many Other Items of Interesting News From Our Harrison Valley Correspondent.
Harrison Valley, Dec. 29.--The Federated Sunday School held Christmas exercises in the M. E.
Church Wednesday evening of last week, consisting of songs and recitations by the children and young people supervised by Mrs. W. W. Warren. Miss Ethlyn Church and Jay Church who are attending Mansfield Normal are spending their vacation at their homes here.
Miss Maude Sailer who is teaching at Southampton, Long Island, and supervising principal C. F. Sailer of Closter, N. Y., are spending the holiday vacation with their mother and brother, Fred. Mr. and Mrs. George Michelfelder, Jr., and children left for Florida, December 26th where they will spend a few months in the "Sunny South." They are motoring through and hope to reach St. Petersburg about January 3rd. Mr. and Mrs. George Michelfelder, Sr., daughter Amelia and son, Robert will occupy the home of their son, George and family, while they are in the south. Mrs. Frank Erway, Jr., and son, Curtis, who have been staying with her people, Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Stone since Thanksgiving, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. George Michelfelder her home in Harrisburg. The Mission people held Christmas exercises in their church last week, Tuesday evening, consisting of songs and recitations by the children.
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Hauber entertained at Christmas dinner, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Hauber, and her father W. H. Peak. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Hubbard were Christmas guests of their son, Howard and family, of Elmira. Mr. and Mrs. Rockwell Boyce and children of Wellsville were dinner guests of her people, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Stone, last week Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Schmeitzer, son Ted, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Abbott, daughter, Genevieve, were Christmas dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Seagers. Howard Hubbard who is working for the Western Union Telegraph Co. with headquarters at Corning, spent Christmas at his home here.
Mrs. Edith Edwards left last Friday morning for Akron, Ohio, to visit a few days with her son, Gerald and family.
Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Seager and son, William, autoed to Ithaca, Saturday, to spend the week-end with her people, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Erway and their daughters, Pauline and Genevieve, they were joined there with their son, Paul and wife, and all enjoyed a family reunion.
Funeral Director, F. L. Harrison, had charge of the funeral of Mrs. Eral Stevens of Elmer, Saturday. Miss Pruda Erway is spending this week with friends in Endicott, N.Y. Miss Bessie Stevens of Coudersport High School faculty is spending her vacation at her home here. Norman and Adaline Harris of Galeton, are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Erway, Sr.
CHRISTMAS ENTERTAINMENT
One of Exceptional Merit Given by Sunday School Children at Sweden Valley.
Sweden Valley, Dec. 29.-The pan-! tomime drill of the Christmas story, given at the M. E. Church by the school children, Christmas eve, was exceptionally good.
Rev. Gregson, pastor of the M. E. Church, visited friends in town Wednesday and attended the exercises at the church in the evening. A.H. Sallade came from Pittsburgh and spent Christmas with his family OD the Dry Run road. The Sunday School Council will meet at the church parlors, Tuesday Mr. and C. White and sons evening, January, 6.
Rafford and Cilfford, enjoyed a Merry Christmas with their son, Warren E. White and family. Mrs. Lucinda Ruscher and son, Oscar, enjoyed a very pleasant' Christmas day at W. T. Harris', on the Inez road.
• Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Bundy and Miss Viola Bradley of Odin, spent Christmas at H. S. Lent's. Gerald Lent drove from Rixford and spent Christmas at home, returning Saturday morning. Mrs. Eugenia Benn and children, / Bettie and Billie, came from Coudersport and spent Christmas at W. O. Rossman's. Arch McLain and daughter, Sarah, of 'Galeton, called at the home of W. C. White, Monday. C. O. Ruscher will start on a trip Tuesday morning stopping at LaSalle, | will visit his daughter, Mable at. Vandalia, going on to Buffalo and take in the scenery at Niagara Falls.
The Missionary Society will meet with Mrs. John Dodd, Wednesday at two p. m., January 7th. William Grover visited W. O. Rossman n the 24th. Mr. and Mrs. Miles Harris visited Mrs. Ruscher, Christmas evening.

Miss Gladys Roberts is back teaching school again after a weeks vacation. A number of the residents in this vicinity attended the play and Christmas tree on Crandall Hill, Saturday evening.
Pastor Randolph was a recent caller at the home of W. W. Roberts and wife. B. D. Roberts and family and Walter Roberts and family spent Christmas day at the home of James Hemphill and wife of Hebron Center. Arthur Knickerbocker and children spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Whittaker of Coneville. Jim Herrington of Sweden was a recent business caller in this place.
Miss Gladys Roberts was a recent guest of her sister, Mrs. Maybelle Swift of Coneville.

Leland Stearms spent several days with his mother, brothers, and sister. Miss Genevieve, a student at the Mansfield Normal is spending the holiday vacation at home.
Fordyce Brock came home, Wednesday for a little vacation. Monday he left for Elkland where he expects to have employment.
