I have found a lot on Philo's father Velonia Fenton's family.
Velonia actually died in Ulysses, Potter Co., PA, and is buried in the Hedgesville, Steuben Co., NY. cemetery.
Another Fenton family researcher from CA came here this past summer and we visited that cemetery; also there were a lot of letters that Martha Fenton, Philo's sister, left (he is slowly transcribing them.) These letters fell into the hands of a good friend of mine who was the step-granddaughter of Martha Fenton Gardner Williams.

The only thing I have on James Austin Cook's parents is his father's first name "Nathan" from James death certificate.
Mary Almira Goodsell died bet 1842 and 1850 most likely in Whitestown, Oneida Co., NY. Philo Fenton remarried LUcy Marks c 1850 (after the 1850 census where Philo was living at a hotel nearby Levi and Arinda (DuPuy) Goodsell).
They had four children together.
In 1850 Harriett was living with her grandparents: Levi and Arinda (DuPuy) Goodsell.
In 1860 she was living with her uncle Albert Fenton.
Philo and Lucy are buried in Maple Hill Cem., Annsville, Oneida Co., NY.
...
Thanks. K
