Funeral services were held at the home of his sister, Mrs. D.C. Thomas, Sunday and burial was made in the town of Canisteo. He was a former resident of Canisteo and well-known here. He leaves a brother, A.C. Crawford, of this place. The deceased met death in a shocking manner. He was employed in the chemical works at Corbett, Pa, and while working there Saturday of last week he fell into a vat of acid. He was horribly burned from the shoulders down to the knees, and his left arm was also terribly burned. He was taken to the Austin hospital, where he lingered until Thursday morning.
