Mrs. Jennie Gilliland of Pike township desires to be forever separated from her husband, John Gilliland, whom she was married in Coudersport on August 19th, 1912. In petition for divorce she alleges much cruel and barbarous treatment. She charges him with threatening her life, kicking her, many acts of personal, violence, throwing scalding water on her, refusing to furnish her the necessities of life, calling her indecent names and making her life with him absolutely intolerable. They lived together in Pike township until June 18th, 1919.
