THE REV. JAMES F. COOK, 68, 135 Elm St., Homer City, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1993, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
The son of Frederick and Agnes Hathaway Cook, he was born April 28, 1925, in Bridgeport, Ohio.
Prior to his retirement. Rev. Cook had been a minister for 40 years at numerous area Lutheran churches, including Trinity Lutheran Church in Homer City.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Anderson Cook;
two daughters and one son:
- Barbara Rubosky, Rome, Ohio;
- Wendy Cook, Minneapolis, Minn.; and
- Frederick C, Cincinnati, Ohio;
seven grandchildren; and
one brother, Herbert, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Homer City. The Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home, Pittsburgh, is in charge of arrangements.

Pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church here, the Rev. Mr. Cook will be ordained today at the trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bridgeport, Ohio. The Rev. Mr. Cook who is 26, was admitted to the Pittsburgh Synod on May 23, this year. Dr. D. L. Himmelman, President of the Synod, the Rev. Chester S Bird, formerly pastor of the local church and new pastor of the Rv. Mr. Cook's home church at Bridgeport, will officiate at the ordination.
Report of Traffic Arrests For Past Week
Harold Moore, R. D. 4, Troy, Pa., a trucker, was found again with more than 10 per cent overload. He was in Sweden Township. This time he was stopped, taken before Justice W. C. Klein, where he paid $50 and $3.50 costs.
William Plumstad Jr., R. D. 3, Westfield. was charged with reckless driving in Genesee, Sunday. He was notified by Justice W. H. Curtis.
Everett R. Blass Jr., R. D. 4, speeding in Roulette Township, Thursday. Notified by Justice W. W. Mills.
John A. Gaberseck, Coudersport, speeding in Roulette Townshio Wednesday of last week. Notified by Justice W. W. Mills.
Little Fellow Captures A Good Big Trout
Donald, six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Zimmerman of Sleepy Hollow Cabins, is following in the footsteps of his dad.
There was a large trout in a certain hole in the stream handy for the small boy. For a long time he tried to hook the big fellow. Last week Wednesday was a winner. The trout measured 16 inches.
Attending Medical Meeting At Atlantic City
Dr. and Mrs. Herman C. Mosch, Dr. and Mrs. R. H. Kazmierski and two sons, and Dr. and Mrs. C. E. Baxter and two sons left Sunday day to attend the American Medical Association meeting being held in Atlantic City this week. Dr. A. F. Domaleski and family left Tuesday fcr Atlantic City.
