Class of '23 Together For First Reunion In 40 Years; Several Former Teachers Come By LUCILLE BROCKLEBANK With mixed emotions, 42 members and guests of the Class of '23 met at Potato City Motor Inn Saturday night. After 40 years, some had changed only slightly. There was the gray hair and added poundage, and yes, the lack of hair for some! The original graduating class had 36 members. After meeting at 5:00 o'clock, an hour was spent in reminiscing with the "Do you remembers?" and looking at o'd pictures from intermediate grades to Mt. Vernon, taken on our Washington trip as seniors. Dinner was served at 6:15 at a "u" shaped table. The old Class of '23 gold and blue banner, made by Mrs. Frank French, had a spot of honor on the stone fireplace. Invocation was given by John M. Luft. Walter P. Wells welcomed old friends. The very able Henry W. Staiger was toastmaster, and called upon each old grad (with some interesting memory of each) for a short life sketch. Former teachers who were able to attend were - Mrs. E. P. Huntington, Mrs. Marjorie Farley Mosch, Coudersport; - Galen Mclnroy, Watkins Glen, N.Y.; - Mrs. Ella Bailey Keith, Port Allegany, the fourth grade music teacher. Roy Goodenough won the prize for having the most grandchildren (18) and the award for coming the longest distance went to Mr. and Mrs. Milford Murphy, Lexington, Ky. Michael Connolly Hospitalized Following Air Force Accident Michael Connolly, serving in the Air Force as a mechanic at Fort Bragg, N.C., fell during the refueling of a plane during a storm, breaking his left arm and leg. He will be hospitalized for two months '. or more. I He would be glad to hear from j his friend.s His address is Ward ; 6-B, Womack Army Hospital, Fort Bragg, N.C. Speeding Charge Filed Against Mt. Jewel t Driver Richard Carrow, 35, Mt. Jewett, has been charged with speeding according to Coudersport-based slate police after he was stopped in Roulette Township Wednesday. Police said Carrow was driving a tractor-trailer when stopped. The case was filed with justice of the peace Eugene Ostrum. Knowing traffic signs by their shape is especially helpful at night. Sunderlinville Youth Drowns At Ft. Devens, Mass. The sad news reached Mr. and Mrs. Chester Mann of Sunderlinville, Saturday, that their son, Sgt. Glenn Mann, 21, had lost his life at Ft. Devens, Aycr, Mass., while swimming. Details of the fatality are not available. The young soldier had served almost four years and had only one month to serve before discharge. He was a member of the Sunderlinville Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents; a half brother, Ernest Quackenbush, Harrison Valley; a step-brother, Arthur Glover, at home; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. A. i J. Plank, Sabiasville. Friends were received at the Koch-Kear Funeral Home at Ulysses and funeral service is being held today (Wednesday) from the Sunderlinville Baptist Church. The Rev. Clair Statham of Hammonds-port, will officiate. Interment will be in Ulysses Cemetery. Next Monday morning a merry party of young people will leave Coudersport on a trip to Washington ans Atlantic City and the Enterprise hopes and trusts that every minute of the trip may bring joy, pleasure and profit to each member of the party. The young people to make this journey are those who have just finished their work in Coudersport High School. They have worked long and faithful not only in school, but outside to swell the fund necessary to prove this vacation and sightseeing expedition. The future plans of the young people graduated last week, as nearly as the Enterprise has been able to learn are: Charles James, Porter Huntington, Uarda Huntington, Hazel Halloran, Lucille Sonnekalb, Earl Harris, Edythe Snyder, Haven Clark, Metta Nelson and Louise Marble - will attend Mansfield Normal. - Betty Luft and Claire Lawler will start a course in the Margaret Morrison College. - Minnie mosch will attend Columbia University. - Frances Liguian and Helen Fath will go to West Chester Normal. - Helen Dieffenbacher will become a student at Wilson College. - Guy Abson will go to Penn State, - Jack Luft will put in a year in the mechanical department of the Enterprise and then go to Princeton. - Walter Wells expects to enter the University of Pennsylvania and while - Ferdinand Gunzberger is not fully decided he will no doubt attend Hobart - as will also Vivian Paterson. - Other members of the class who are undecided at the present time are: Art Beck, Weldon Breunle, Mark Ferguson, Daisy Froeble, Eugene Gillon, Leroy Goodenough, Walter Gustwick, Harold Higley, Lloyd Jones, Blake Kelly, Ruth Kelly, Arthur Menschel, George Whalen. Michael Connolly Hospitalized Following Air Force Accident Michael Connolly, serving in the Air Force as a mechanic at Fort Bragg, N.C., fell during the refueling of a plane during a storm, breaking his left arm and leg. Jewel t Driver Richard Carrow, 35, Mt. Jewett, has been charged with speeding according to Coudersport-based slate police after he was stopped in Roulette Township Wednesday. Police said Carrow was driving a tractor-trailer when stopped. The case was filed with justice of the peace Eugene Ostrum. Knowing traffic signs by their shape is especially helpful at night. Sunderlinville Youth Drowns At Ft. Devens, Mass. The sad news reached Mr. and Mrs. Chester Mann of Sunderlinville, Saturday, that their son, Sgt. Glenn Mann, 21, had lost his life at Ft. Devens, Aycr, Mass., while swimming. Details of the fatality are not available. The young soldier had served almost four years and had only one month to serve before discharge. He was a member of the Sunderlinville Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents; a half brother, Ernest Quackenbush, Harrison Valley; a step-brother, Arthur Glover, at home; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. A. i J. Plank, Sabiasville. TEACHER AND STUDENT BECOME SISTER-IN-LAWS

The first time that I posted these photos, I failed to recognize one of the teachers in the Mt Vernon photograph. The teacher happens to be Marjorie Genea Farley, she taught Science and was the future wife of Frank Jacob Mosch, married in October of 1926. Frank’s youngest sister, Minnie Hilda Mosch is one of the students in the Coudersport Class of 1923. After graduation, Minnie married Andrew Preston Erway September 1926.

Frank and Minnie are the children of Emil Ernest Mosch and Wilhelmina Hedwig Kortz,
grandchildren of Carl Herman Mosch and Caroline Scheider, Jacob Kortz and Katherine Pflugfelder.

The fact that Aunt Marge Mosch was Minnie's teacher, is fascinating enough, let alone being a teacher of Judge Walter Wells, businessman Ferdie Gunzberger and bank president Art Menchel. Apparently she just started her teaching career when this photo was taken.

Plans for the future
Boys and Girls from Coudersport High school to Enjoy Big Time

What Variours Members Will Do Next Year.

Next Monday morning a merry party of young people will leave Coudersport on a trip to Washington ans Atlantic City and the Enterprise hopes and trusts that every minute of the trip may bring joy, pleasure and profit to each member of the party. The young people to make this journey are those who have just finished their work in Coudersport High School. They have worked long and faithful not only in school, but outside to swell the fund necessary to prove this vacation and sightseeing expedition.

The future plans of the young people graduated last week, as nearly as the Enterprise has been able to learn are:

Charles James, Porter Huntington, Uarda Huntington, Hazel Halloran, Lucille Sonnekalb, Earl Harris, Edythe Snyder, Haven Clark, Metta Nelson and Louise Marble
- will attend Mansfield Normal.

- Betty Luft and Claire Lawler will start a course in the Margaret Morrison College.
- Minnie mosch will attend Columbia University.

- Frances Liguian and Helen Fath will go to West Chester Normal.
- Helen Dieffenbacher will become a student at Wilson College.
- Guy Abson will go to Penn State,
- Jack Luft will put in a year in the mechanical department of the Enterprise and then go to Princeton.

- Walter Wells expects to enter the University of Pennsylvania and while
- Ferdinand Gunzberger is not fully decided he will no doubt attend Hobart - as will also Vivian Paterson.

- Other members of the class who are undecided at the present time are:
Art Beck, Weldon Breunle, Mark Ferguson, Daisy Froeble, Eugene Gillon, Leroy Goodenough, Walter Gustwick, Harold Higley, Lloyd Jones, Blake Kelly, Ruth Kelly, Arthur Menschel, George Whalen.

Class of '23 Together For First Reunion In 40 Years; Several Former Teachers Come By LUCILLE BROCKLEBANK With mixed emotions, 42 members and guests of the Class of '23 met at Potato City Motor Inn Saturday night. After 40 years, some had changed only slightly. There was the gray hair and added poundage, and yes, the lack of hair for some! The original graduating class had 36 members. After meeting at 5:00 o'clock, an hour was spent in reminiscing with the "Do you remembers?" and looking at o'd pictures from intermediate grades to Mt. Vernon, taken on our Washington trip as seniors. Dinner was served at 6:15 at a "u" shaped table. The old Class of '23 gold and blue banner, made by Mrs. Frank French, had a spot of honor on the stone fireplace. Invocation was given by John M. Luft. Walter P. Wells welcomed old friends. The very able Henry W. Staiger was toastmaster, and called upon each old grad (with some interesting memory of each) for a short life sketch. Former teachers who were able to attend were

Michael Connolly Hospitalized Following Air Force Accident Michael Connolly, serving in the Air Force as a mechanic at Fort Bragg, N.C., fell during the refueling of a plane during a storm, breaking his left arm and leg. Jewel t Driver Richard Carrow, 35, Mt. Jewett, has been charged with speeding according to Coudersport-based slate police after he was stopped in Roulette Township Wednesday. Police said Carrow was driving a tractor-trailer when stopped. The case was filed with justice of the peace Eugene Ostrum. Knowing traffic signs by their shape is especially helpful at night. Sunderlinville Youth Drowns At Ft. Devens, Mass. The sad news reached Mr. and Mrs. Chester Mann of Sunderlinville, Saturday, that their son, Sgt. Glenn Mann, 21, had lost his life at Ft. Devens, Aycr, Mass., while swimming. Details of the fatality are not available. The young soldier had served almost four years and had only one month to serve before discharge. He was a member of the Sunderlinville Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents; a half brother, Ernest Quackenbush, Harrison Valley; a step-brother, Arthur Glover, at home; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. A. i J. Plank, Sabiasville. Friends were received at the Koch-Kear Funeral Home at Ulysses and funeral service is being held today (Wednesday) from the Sunderlinville Baptist Church. The Rev. Clair Statham of Hammonds-port, will officiate. Interment will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
