W. HEBRON GRANGE MET AT S. VALLEY
Jim Heath Won Men's Biscuit Baking Contest at Sweden Valley Recently. Other Notes.
West Hebron, Feb. 20 There was a goodly representation of Hebron Grange at the meeting of Potter County Pomona Grange held at the Sweden Valley Grange hall, February 16 and 17. The Hebron Grange orchestra furnished music for the Thursday evening session. Jim Heath, a member of Hebron Grange won the men's biscuit baking contest receiving as a prize, a sack of flour for himself and also a check of $5 for Hebron Grange, which they presented to the orchestra.
The Hebron Ladies' Aid held their regular meeting February 15. There was a good attendance and work was tying quilt.
Mr. and Mrs. L. Pepperman and children were Sunday guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Pepperman of Coneville.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Steams and children Marilee and Dick were dinner guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Harris of Coneville.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tassllo of Coudersport, spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Matteson.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Stearns and family, Mrs. Ella Stearns attended the high school orchestra concert at Coudersport Thursday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Willis Brock of Roulette, spent Saturday afternoon with their son Fordyce and wife.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Stearns and family and Mrs. Ella Stearns motored to Emporium Sunday afternoon to help Mrs. Eddie Olson celebrate her birthday.

March 12: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Allen of Harrison Valley and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Allen and daughter of Elkland visited Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wilcox, Saturday. They brought Mr. Wilcox a birthday cake.
Chester and Durwood Weimer and sons of Farmers Valley were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Thompson, Monday.
Mrs. Earl Kenyon, Mrs. L. D. Pepperman, Mrs. Don Stearns and Mrs. Walter Metzger attended Pomona Grange at Odin, Wednesday afternoon.
In the evening Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Pepperman and daughter Nan, Mrs. Roy Thompson, Miss Lena Thompson Mr. and Mrs. Don Stearns and daughter Maralee, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Metzger attended Pomona Grange.
Miss Roberta Peet, a student at Mt. Vernon Academy, Ohio, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Peet.
Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Olson and children of Emporium were supper guests at the home of her brother, Don Stearns and family, Sunday.
Billy Brock accompanied his grandmother, Emma Brock of Roulette to Buffalo Friday evening to attend the Ice Follies. They returned home with Ronald Brock Sunday morning.

Robert Peet and daughter Rob erta called on his mother, Mrs. Gerald Wilcox and Mr. Wilcox Friday evening.
Deo Burdick of Shinglehouse called on his brother, Elno Burdick, Sunday.
Mrs. Lottie Harris of Coneville is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Don Stearns and family.
Mr. and Mrs. James Schnepp and son of Mt. Jewett spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Thompson.
Robert Brock of the U.S. Air Force has been transferred from Lackland Air Base to Shepard Field in Texas.
Robert Phillips, who has been employed in South Carolina, returned home last week.
