"Joseph Darrin
Joseph M. Darrin, 89, of Coudersport died Sunday (Oct. 10, 2004) at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport.
Born June 26, 1915 in Port Allegany, he was the son of Edwin C. and Caroline Golden Darrin.
On Aug. 3, 1956 in Coudersport he married Bertha Roberts, who survives.
Mr. Darrin was a graduate of Coudersport High School.
He had been employed with the former Damascus Tanning Company in Coudersport.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Park United Methodist Church and was a 60-year member of the American Legion Potter Post 192 of Coudersport.
Surviving in addition to this wife are
two sisters,
- Ethel Cunningham of Carson City, NV and
- Ruth Tingley of Olean, NY;
- one brother, James Darrin of Wellsville, NY;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call today (Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fickinger Funeral Home in Coudersport, at which time funeral and committal services will be held, with the Rev. Dennis M. Adams, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, officiating.
- Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery in Coudersport.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice."

"Joseph M. DARRIN, World War II veteran
COUDERSPORT, Pa. -- Joseph M. Darrin, 89, of Coudersport died Sunday (Oct. 10, 2004) at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport.
Born June 26, 1915 in Port Allegany, he was the son of Edwin C. and Caroline Golden Darrin. On Aug. 3, 1956 in Coudersport he married Bertha Roberts, who survives.
Mr. Darrin was a graduate of Coudersport High School and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
He had been employed with the former Damascus Tanning Company in Coudersport.

"CHARLES H. DARRIN
COUDERSPORT -- Charles H. Darrin, former resident of Coudersport, died at Wichita Falls, Texas, Saturday (Jan. 5, 1957).
He was born at Ridgway Dec. 6, 1904, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Darrin.
He married the former Wione Gustwick who preceded him in death.
A watchmaker, Mr. Darrin was a veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Darrin of Coudersport, survivors include
- a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Minton, Harrisburg, Ill.;
- one granddaughter;
and seven brothers,
- E. Merle Cornell, Franklinville, N.Y.,
- Howard G. Darrin, Buffalo,
- Richard H. Darrin, Long Beach, Calif.,
- James T. Darrin,
- Clarence, N.Y. and
- Robert B. Darrin,
- Elwood W. Darrin and
- Joseph M. Darrin, all of Coudersport.
Also seven sisters,
- Mrs. Helen Sonnekalb and
- Mrs. Ruth Tingley, both of Coudersport,
- Mrs. Marthabell Stevens, Kenmore, N.Y.,
- Mrs. Gertrude Cannon, MonteVista, Col.,
- Miss Ethel darrin, San Diego, Calif.,
- Mrs. Harriet Habermehl, and
- Miss Phyllis Darrin, both of Buffalo.
The body arrived in Coudersport today and was taken to the Grabe Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 10, 1947) by
- the Rev. Bruce Stearns, pastor of the Park Methodist Church.
- Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery."

She wed - #1 Wayne Everett Minton (1/26/1929-12/16/1958 and they had two children, and
