Edwards celebrated informally in their home on Wednesday evening, November 30, the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. A full course mid-day dinner was served to the members of their immediate family, and open house was held throughout the evening. The program consisted of a prayer by Rev. McGarvey, followed by several appropriate and beautiful vocal selections by Mr. Howard Channing, who was accompanied by Mrs. Virginia Mette. Under the direction of a most capable soloist and "cheer leader" as well as the peppy music of a quintet of stringed instruments played by Austin boys, impromptu activities soon held full sway, and the enthusiasm carried over well into the evening after refreshments had been served. Mr. and Mrs. Edwards were presented with many beautiful and useful gifts as well as many beautiful flowers. The out of town relatives and friends were: Mr. and Mrs. B. B.
