Shinglehouse Singers Host To Their Wives
The Shinglehouse Choristers entertained their wives at a banquet held in the First Baptist Church parlors Thursday evening.
The women of the church prepared and served a dinner at six-thirty. The tables were decorated with'Easter boskets and candles in Easter colors.
Mrs. Lena Kemp had charge of the dining room, with
Mary Ellen Wetzel,
Joanne Klinger,
Shirley Moser and
Elenor Lunn
as waitresses.
Mrs. Della Cooper was chairman of the kitchen committee. An impromptu program w presented with Walter Palmer directing. Accompanists were:
Margaret Norton,
Norma Palmer and
Dorothy Bailey.
Soloists were:
James Lindsey,
Frank Freeborn,
Laurence Bailey,
Bill Miller and
Kendall Palmer.
Walter Palmer sang a medley.
A harmonica solo was played by Ed Young.
The Choristers sang several selections and group singing concluded tbe program.
