Happy 72nd Anniversary to Mom and Dad today!!! September 17, 1948 ....... 2020!!!
I am so grateful that we had a chance to celebrate it last year with lots of singing, even though it was 2 days before your actual anniversary. We love you so much!! How wonderful it would be if we could walk right up to you and give you big hugs and kisses. Instead, we have to stay away 6 feet. Hands off! I wish there could be an exception to this terrible rule which is being a slow death for so many of our loved ones who are isolated from being with their loved ones and families. Our family isn't the only one in this situation. Sadly ..... but, hey, today I want to celebrate Mom and Dad! I thank the Lord for giving me amazing parents and over 65 wonderful years with them!! ??????????????????????????????????

September 17, 1948 - 2019 - It was 71 years ago today that Maude Augusta Morley married George Olmsted Morley. They were truly "kissing cousins" since their fathers Mack and Edwin Morley were brothers. ????
On September 15, 2019 - Sunday afternoon, my 4 sisters and I paid Mom and Dad a surprise visit at Long Term Care to celebrate their 71st anniversary two days early. As you can imagine, there were tears of joy from Mom and Dad and us sisters. We were grateful for the Skilled Nursing/ Long Term Care staff to allow us the use of the dining room between lunch and the afternoon church service so that we had access to a piano as we sang for Mom and Dad. ????????????????
Then we went to Mom's room to reminisce and to do some more singing. Our brother Gary joined us there - more laughter and tears as we shared this special time together with Mom and Dad. We know that these moments are numbered and are to be treasured. I just want to thank God that He gave us this special day to celebrate family and Mom and Dad's 71 years of marriage. I am truly blessed! ????????

September 17, 1948 - Dad's sister Mary Morley and Mom's sister Kathryn Morley Allen (Mom's wearing Kathryn's wedding dress) were bridesmaids and Kathryn's husband George Allen was Best Man.
Mom's niece Terry Davis was the train bearer and her niece Karen Allen was the flower girl. Mom's nephew Daniel Allen was the ring bearer.
