David A. Lytle
January 18, 1940 - September 15, 2016
David A. Lytle, 76, of 1217 E. Webster St., Coal Township, formerly of Sunbury, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born Jan. 18, 1940, in Sunbury, a son of the late Earl and Catherine Lytle. He was married June 4, 1966, to the former Barbara Brown, who survives.
He worked for the city of Sunbury St. Department before retiring in 1986.
David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going to yard sales. In addition, he loved being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by four children, Michelle Derk and husband Kevin, of Kulpmont, David Lytle and wife Heather, of Coal Township, Wade Lytle and wife Tammy, of Danville, and Chad Lytle and companion Tiffany Mark, of Sunbury; 13 grandchildren' and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Francis Dunkle; and one brother, Gerald Lytle.
A visitation with the family will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Olley-Gotlob Funeral Home, 539 Race St., Sunbury, with Pastor Bonnie Alleman officiating.
Burial will be at Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Shamokin-Coal Township Public Library, 210 E. Independence St., Shamokin, PA 17872.
