The First United Presbyterian Church, Coudersport, was the scene of a wedding Saturday (March 16, 1963) uniting in marriage Miss Judith Ann Perry and Albert C. Gorg.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Perry of Coudersport.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Gorg of Galeton RD 1, are the parents of the bridegroom.
The Rev. Robert I. Baker, pastor, conducted the ceremony before an altar decorated with yellow, and white mums. Mrs. T. R. Jones, organist, organist, played traditional wedding music and accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Kenneth Gosnell, as she sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Beside Still Water."
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of yellow nylon over satin with a cummerbund waistline, and a button-backed lace jacket with three-quarter length sleeves. Her hat was a yellow, yellow, open - crowned straw with matching veil, and her flowers were yellow roses and white carnations.
Mrs. Paul Perry, sister-in-law of the bride, served as matron of honor. She chose a beige linen suit with matching hat and accessories and her flowers were yellow pom pons and yellow roses. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Perry wore a beige brocade jacket dress. Mrs. Gorg chose a gray acetate acetate with black accessories. Both mothers wore corsages of pink carnations. carnations. About 65 guests attended the reception reception which followed, held in the church's social rooms.
Miss Mary Hopkins, a classmate of the bride, poured coffee.
Mrs. Paul Perry served the punch, and Miss Phyllis Jaros, friend of the bride, served the wedding cake.
A rehearsal party was held Friday Friday night at the bride's home.
Following a wedding trip to an undisclosed destination, the newly-weds plan to live at Galeton RD 1.
The bride attended Coudersport Area High School. Her husband was graduated in 1961 from the Galeton Joint High School.
