July 16 -- Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Burgin were business visitors in Coudersport, Thursday.
Miss Jeannine McGuire will celebrate her birthday July 22.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Marshall are parents of a son born July 22.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bumside and Mr. Burnside's mother spent the week visiting relatives in town.
Harry Kinney attended the Shriner Convention in New York City last week-end.
Some new cottages are going up in Stewardson Township.
Mrs. Elma Burgin and children of Tacoma, Wash., is spending the summer visiting Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Burgis.
Ormonde Dingman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dingman, enlisted in the Air Corps and left Friday for Camp Sampson.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Snyder and daughter, Helen, of Rochester was In town Sunday to see Mr. Snyder's sister, Mrs. Wm. Dingman, and family.
Miss Sherry Burgin celebrated her fifth birthday July 16.
Mr. and Mrs. Milford Marshall of Buffalo are visiting Mr. Marshall's mother at Camp Alpine.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Marshall of Galeton visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Burgin.
The Kiski Rod and Gun Club gas well on the Charley Pallard farm six miles up the left hand branch of Cross Fork Is a dry hole. The rig is being born down and it has been reported that this rig will be used to drill the Cross Fork Pool gas well, this' well is being located on Earl Ealey ground formerly owned by Warren Wykoff. This location is about five hundred feet from the Renovo Shop men's well on the Homer Rooney ground. This well struck shallow gas or surface gas at 2,000 feet. The gas well on the G. W. Mc-Guine land is down 3,000 feet, this rig is a spudder and it is reported that it will be removed and a larger rig put up to complete the well or 3,000 more feet. There are 39 producing wells in the field. There are ten failures that are known definitely and three others listed as completed.
