Cub Scout Pack 33 Needs Four More Den Mothers
About 135 persons attended the Blue and Gold Dinner given for members of Cub Scout Pack 33 in the Consistory Thursday night.
Held for the purpose of building interest in a local Cub Scout program, the dinner was attended by the Cubs and parents or friends.
Two films - one on the Boy Scout Jamboree and the other a cartoon were shown following the dinner. Some of the boys also put on a skit for the entertainment of visitors.
Two Wolf badges and three Bobcat pins were given five members of the group.
- Sam Giassmire and Richard Carter both got Wolf badges while George White, Harold Brown and Wayne Wetzel received Bobcat pins. Others received new membership cards. Presentations were made by Fred Sallade.
At present the pack has six dens located in various parts of town. Cubmaster Cecil Vanocker says they would like to expand by adding at least four more - one each for Rubbertown, the Tannery area, East Second Street and North Main St. Anyone interested in taking care of holding den meetings in any of those locations should contact Mr. Vanocker.
John Hughes, secretary-treasurer of the pack, said members of the group would like to thank H. H. Bradley for donating the miik and Tom Guzick for running the projection machine as well as others who helped make the dinner a success.
