Mrs Sarah Duty
Death about 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon claimed Mrs Sarah Duty, wife of Geo. Duty of Wheelersburg. Mrs Duty suffered sometime with asthma and heart trouble.
The deceased was born in Pike county, KY, March 8, 1849, and was united in marriage to George Duty in 1868. To this union nine children were born, three daughters and six sons. Her husband and five children survive as follows:
Elliott of Pike county, KY and two sisters,
Mrs Phoebia Farley of Pike county, KY and Mrs Elizabeth Horton of Greenup, KY.
The deceased was a faithful, kind loving mother. She was a member of the Hutchins St. Baptist church of Portsmouth.
The funeral will take place from the home Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. C.E. Chandler will officiate.
