Don Hoak! Played 1954 thru1964 for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Redlegs, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Philadelphia Phillies. Buried at Fishing Creek cemetery. Nickname was "Tiger". Cousin Jon Baker

Cousin Jon Baker and I were visiting the cemetary and he, being a baseball fan, noticed the grave marker, complete with a little tiger.

Ross “Bud” Howard Clark, age 79, of Hollidaysburg, PA and formerly of West Hartford died Thursday morning (December 20, 2007), at the home of his daughter Shawnee after a brief illness. He was born April 11, 1928 in Roulette, PA to Coral and Goldie (Seymore) Clark. He retired as the General Manager of Avon Old Farms Inn in Avon in 1997. Prior to that he was Secretary/ Treasurer of BALF- Savin Co. He was a graduate of Penn State and a US Navy veteran. He enjoyed gardening, walking and playing cards. He was an avid fan of Penn State, New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his daughters
- Shawnee and husband Pat Dandrea of Hollidaysburg and
- Shellee and husband Michael Grover of Franklin, MA;
four grandchildren,
- Michael Dandrea,
- Daniel,
- Allyson and
- Andrew Grover.
He was predeceased by his brother Donald Clark.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday December 23 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont with committal at the convenience of the family. The family requests that donations be made to the Dialysis unit at Altoona Regional Health System, 620 Howard Ave., Altoona, PA 16601 in Ross’ memory. Friends will be received from 10 - 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 309 Lotz Ave. Arrangements by Plank, Stitt and Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
