MATTAPOISETT - Geraldine M. (Perry) Nunes, 93, of Mattapoisett died January 24, 2018 at Island Terrace Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Renato C. “Renny” Nunes.
Born in Fairhaven, the daughter of the late George and Irene (Paull) Perry, she lived in Mattapoisett most of her life.
She will always be remembered as a sweet wonderful person.
Survivors include
her 2 sons,
- Brian Nunes of Mattapoisett and
- Jeremy Nunes of Rochester;
a brother, George Perry, Jr. of Fairhaven;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of
- the late Beverly Greenwood and
- Shirley Carrol.

Shirley E. Carroll, 68 former merchandiser
Shirley (Perry) Carroll, 68 of Onset died Monday, May 9, at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston after a long illness. She was the wife of Robert Carroll.
Born in Fairhaven, daughter of the late George and Irene (Paull) Perry,
she lived in Wareham/Onset for 10 years
and formerly was employed by the American Greeting Card Company as a merchandiser.
Survivors in addition to her husband include
- a son, Raymond Rose, Jr. of Mattapoisett,
- a stepson Robert Carroll of New Bedford,
- a stepdaughter Joyce Carroll of North Dartmouth,
- a brother George Perry of Naples, FL,
two sisters,
- Geraldina Nunes of Mattapoisett and
- Beverly Greenwood of Rhode Island,
seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
