During the years 1867, 1868 and 1869, teachers in Judd School Disrict No. 3 were
- Miss Sarah Judd,
- Miss Sarah J. Bishop,
- Miss Mary E. Hopper,
- Miss Caroline E. Hawley, and
- Mrs F.E. Cohell, according to records of J.W. Allen, county superintendent from 1866 to 1875.
Miss Bishop married Horace Hall and they were the parents of the late Wrayburn B. Hall, Coudersport.
School directores of the Judd School let the contract to build a schoolhouse in the spring of 1875. The late Belle H. Lewis, who was born near Colesburg, taught her first term of school in this building in 1879, when she was 15 years old.
The oldest and only report book on record was from August 1917 to Sept. 30, 1921. Teachers during that period were:
- Mable B. Reed, 1917-1919;
- Angie Bacon, 1919-1920;
- Lytie Livermore, 1920-1921;
- Marjorie E. Beebe, 1921-1922.
Among Miss Beebe's pupils were
- Milton Goodenough, age 6;
- Raymond Goodenough, age 11;
- Walter Leet, age 8; and
- Helen Goodenough, age 9.
According to the record of the first day of October, Miss Beebe received from the treasury of Allegany School District $95. 25 for salaary in full from Sept. 5 to Sept. 30, 1921.
The school closed Aug. 23, 1943. The late Inez Leete, Coudersport, was the teacher and taught the last term of school.

MARY BOWEN ALLEN entered rest September 28, 1889. Few will be more missed than this quiet, gentle woman.
Born February 3, 1836, her whole life was filled with loving service to all. In early life she taught school in Mansfield, Jamestown, NY, and other places.
Daughter of Benj. and Hannah C. Bowen, of Academy Corners, Tioga County, PA.
Married to J.W. Allen on August 15, 1866, she has since resided in Coudersport.
A faithful laborer in every good cause. Member of the Baptist Church.
Leaves two sons and one daughter;
- John,
- Ezra and
- Lulu.
Funeral at the family home in Tioga County where her aged mother yet resides.
She was for three years President of the Coudersport W.C.T.U. and for two of those years, by appointment of the State Union, was President of the County W.C.T.U.
MRS. SARAH (CALDWELL) ALLEN died of consumption in Jamestown, Chautauqua County, NY, Friday, May 19, 1848.
