Pretty Wedding-
-Arthur Ray Huggler, Well Known Here, Takes Bride In New Jersey-
The wedding of Miss Anne Woods Farnsworth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Woods Farnsworth, 141 Lorraine avenue, Upper Montclair, N. J., and Arthur Ray Huggler, son of Mr .and Mrs. Luther R. Huggler of Brentwood, Pa., took place on Friday, June 15, at 7:00 p. m., in the Union Congregational Church at Upper Montclair, N. J. The bride was given in marriage by her father and the ceremony was preformed by George Clark Vincent, D. D., pastor of the church. A reception followed at the Upper Montclair Country Club. The bride wore a princess gown of white lace and marquisette fashioned with short sleeves, white lace mitts, and full skirt forming a train. Her fingertip veil of French illusion caught with seed pearls was draped from a lace cap. She carried a cas cade bouquet of feathered white carnations.
Mrs. William McCalla Frick of Byram, Conn., was her sister's matron of honor, and Mrs. John E. Braun Jr., of Cleveland, Ohio, sister of the bridegroom, was the other honor attendant.
They wore cap- sleeved white marquisette gowns em broidered with daisies over apple green taffeta with matching mitts. They also wore half crowns of yellow daisies in their hair and carried bouquets of the same flowers. The junior bridesmaid was Miss Barbara Jean Koehler of Upper Montclair, N. J. She wore a white marquisette gown embroidered with daisies over pink taffeta and carried an old fashioned bouquet.
James Myron Johnson of Patterson, NJ, was best man, and the ushers included
- Sidney Woods Farnsworth Jr., brother of the bride;
- John E. Braum Jr., brother-in-law of the groom;
- William McCalla Frick, brother-in-law of the bride, and
- Victor Engene Kohman of Little Falls, N. J.
The out of town guests included
- Mrs. James B. , Stevenson of Pasadena, Calif., the bride's grandmother;
- Mrs. Minnie Menschel of Coudersport, the groom's grandmother;
- Mrs. James Hamilton and
- Mr. and Mrs. George K. Stevenson of Pittsburgh, Pa.;
- Mr. and Mrs. Roland Rudolph and Miss Ruth Rudolph of Coudersport;
- Mr. and Mrs. Luther R. Huggler of Brentwood;
- Dr. Ralph Twining, Newark, N. J.;
- Miss Jeanette Glassmire, New York;
- Charles Miller, Weatherly, Pa.
Dependent Parents Of World War II Veterans Dependent parents of deceased World War II servicemen were urged to get in touch with the Social Security Administration in a statement issued by Roy Grove, manager of the Olean field office of the Federal Security Agency. A dependent parent is one who was receiving half or more of his or her support from the son or daughter at the t'rae of the veteran's death. Benefit payments start when the parent is 65 but proof of dependency must be filed within two years of the son's or daughter's death. Time for filing proof of dependency was extended to June 30, 1951. If a dependent parent fails to file proof of dependency by June 30. he cannot receive payments later as a dependent parent. Write the Social Security Administration, 139 North First Street, Olean, N. Y. Annual South Branch Old Home Day The fifth annual South Branch old home day will be held at Cherry Springs Park, Saturday, June 30, with a basket picnic at 1:30 p. m. The evening program will be in the Community Building at Galeton.
