Lougeay, planned a hiking party last Saturday. All went well until the children, 18 strong, attempted to cross the foot bridge at Colcord's grove, when Alberta Guenther and Ruth Taubert fell into the Allegheny river. The river was unusually high owing to the recent rains, and but for the timely aid of Robert Edwards who went to the rescue, no doubt the girls might have been drowned.
