Cool !! So you and I are related in that line, too :-) Sorry I haven't yet gotten you the Crandall line info yet. Later this month. Windows update erased my laptop web browser, and then lost power during System Restore and froze my screen :-( Have to take it to the repair shop now. But bot a new Samsung phone which gives me Internet access at the cabin, so take the good with the bad. I found an herbal protocol for Lyme which is made in my town of Brattleboro, VT and it seems to be working well. Thanks for asking !

Chuck Crooks Oh the Crandalls! You will have to work hard to keep pace with me there. I hail from Elder John Crandall himself 1617-1676.......Amelia & Luke's parents were Benjamin Crandall 1736-1793, and if memory serves me, he married Alice Langworthy......I was wrong, she was mother of Benjamin, he married Alice Kenyon.......2 more old Shinglehouse names....Hmmmm

Grace Titus What is SDB Church and is it connected with the Main Settlement Cemetery?

Turns out my shoulder problem was also Lyme Disease. It gets into the joints. The herbal Lyme Protocol from Vermont is working well and my shoulder feels fine now, thanks.

I also have Langworthys and Kenyons in my ancestry. Know some Langworthys, but never met any Kenyons in the area.

Chris Crowley Bailey-- AND is the Seventh Day Baptist church. One congregation is in Little Genesee. I think another in Hebron. One in Alfred, too. Their worship services are on Saturday, the Sabbath of Christ Himself.

Still have plenty of work to do. Dad and Mom's house across from me is now a B&B with no minimum stay. Also, my friend Cieline runs Oz's B&B and wants me to direct visitors her way, since my tiny cabin is not finished yet and very primitive :-)

Chris Crowley Bailey Main Settlement was originally settled by SDB, most from Rhode Island via upper NY State. Most came through virgin land to the area that had been pre selected about 1832......my group, my 3X GG father (Zaccheus Maxson) and his youngest son (Zaccheus Reynolds) settled in Little Genesee along with many a Burdick, My 2X GG father Benjamin Crandall and my Great grandfather Enoch went on to Main Settlement and settled there with many a Barber and of course the Main family.1

Grace Titus I nosed around a little online this morning but couldn’t get all the way back that far. Harriet Babcock, daughter of Barber Babcock, married Asa Lewis of Alfred/Wellsville which is the maternal grandmother line.

Scott Lewis You know our SDB Ancestors, we liked to marry our 1st cousins, I am sure we (Lewis-Maxsons) are intermarried along the way, found proof but will have to re-find it. In their defense back in the 1600-1700 there were not that many choices esp when you had to stay inside the SDB Religion.

Ancil lived in that little house which we called "the tenant house" on the other side of the road from the farmhouse. My grandmother sold it to a young Mesler family who were renting there and they have since sold it to someone else.

Sandra and Barb both worked for Lyle, me only a little.....you would sit on a drag, place a seedling, it would squirt water, then gently move soil back around the seedling.....cool machine, unless you were the one seated, a rather dusty job ????
