Serkleski, 73, of Coudersport, died unexpectedly Monday at her home. Born April 25, 1901, in Potter County, she was a daughter of Alvin and Nellie Pierce Quimby. On Jan. 1, 1939, in Northumberland, she married Frank Serkleski, who survives. A lifelong resident of Coudersport, she was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Besides her husband, survivors include two sons, Walter Corey, Alden, N.Y., and Donald Serkleski, Shinglehouse; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; four brothers, - Warren Quimby, Olean, - Arley Quimby, Rochester, N.Y.; - Robert Quimby and - Leo Quimby, both of Coudersport; two sisters, - Mrs. Flora Russell of Two Mile, and - Mrs. Mary Ward, Sarasota, Fla. Friends are being received at the Grabe-Fickinger Funeral Home, and a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Coudersport, with the Rev. Jerry McCauley, officiating. - Burial will be in Homer Cemetery, Inez.
