Yes. We are 1st cousin once removed. His father John and my grandfather Ben were brothers. I tried to connect with John Hart Esther Kenealy Harts son but no luck. Are you related to them or thru the Connors?

Wouldn't that make him your uncle, too? (Curious wording, I suspect there's more to it.????)

Iva & Eva, my grandmother and great aunt, identical twins, they don't look that much alike in this photo, but I am struck by how much Eva, #10, looks like Nan! (They're usually indistinguishable to me)
They are rarely separated in photos.

Must be senior class, I suppose, but I thought they were graduated from HS by 1922.

Cece Zerbst yes, (Grace’s daughter). A striking resemblance. Do you see it, Kaye?
My grandmother Iva, married John Spring, was Eva’s identical twin. I barely remember her. My grandparents lived in Allegany, NY, also where I was born. Iva worked for Acme(?) Electric Co, worked around poly chlorinated phenols and biphenyls, among other known carcinogens. She died of cancer at about 53 yrs old, roughly half the age Eva, her identical twin, lived to. Probably make an interesting study of Nature vs Nurture.
No twins since then, that I’m aware of.

The Eick sisters look like twins, too. They are twins, born 08 Dec 1905. So, at least two sets of twins here. I wonder if there are more.

I have a vague memory from the 1960’s of the little office building in the picture that I think may have still been there when my Dad worked at the tannery.

That picture speaks a million words. Those men worked SO hard under very harsh conditions. Many of them were betrayed by their union and its pension shenanigans.

Paul Lynn Gardner Thanks, Paul. I showed these to Kathy earlier. Her father would have been in the US for three years at the time of the photo. I bet his English wasn't very good yet. He was such a wonderful man! It's so incredible to see him on Facebook!

When I started work at Denton Hill Ski Stanley "Ski-foot" Kowalski worked there as the Tannery had shut down a bit before. Within a few weeks all the bucks were showing the size of their antlers by picking (one hand)up a 100 lbs anvil by the horn (horn aimed to heaven). A few could pick it up for a minute or so then Mr. Kowalski stepped up. He had big hands and they must of been made of steel. He picked it up walked half way down the parking lot and back. Now he was retirement age at the time. Every mother's son who worked at the tannery was hard as nails. Not one easy job there. Everyone of those fellas should be shown respect for putting up with what they did to feed and take care of their families. Not many of them left and God Bless every last one of them. Real men who did real work.
