  Obituary	RAYMOND HAROLD PEET, SR 28 JUL 1942 - 24 SEP 2017 Raymond Peet Sr. 75, of Harrison, Tenn., went to be with the Lord, Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017. He worked for the State of Pennsylvania and for McKee Bakery in Collegedale, Tenn. from 1972 until his retirement. He graduated from Coudersport High School in 1963. He joined the Army March 31, 1964. He was inducted at Valley Forge. He was a medic. He was honorably discharged March 30, 1970. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Marie Peet of Coudersport. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Peet; son, Raymond Harold Peet II; grandson, Jacob Ryan Peet; step-children, Nadine (Robert) Ward, Cheryl (Kent) Hartmann, Francine (Morris) Porter, Ramond (Bernice) Wierzbic Jr.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Berta (Ernie) Cunfer; brothers, John (Karlene) Peet, Ted (Lee) Peet, Mark (Beth) Peet; many loving nieces and nephews. Pastor Brian Burgess conducted a graveside service on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at noon at Plowman Cemetery in Apison. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation. She was a graduate of Coudersport High School and the Bradford School of Nursing. On Feb. 2, 1934, in Olean, NY, she married Robert H. Peet, who predeceased her in 1995. A housewife, mother, and farmer, Mrs. Peet lived most of her life in the Coudersport area. She also was a private duty nurse and worked at the Brownhill and Kramer Hosiery Mill. She was a member of the Coudersport Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years and a charter member of the Seventh-day Community Church of Sweden Hill. She was a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, the Hebron and Central Granges for 58 years, Pomona Grange, State Grange, and National Grange. She was active in the Crandall Hill Community Orchestra. Surviving are: a daughter, Roberta (Ernest) Cunfer of Slatington; four sons, - John G. Roberta was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Star Hose Co #1 Auxiliary, Slatington. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons: - Robert J. Cunfer and wife Cynthia of Slatington, - Charles J. Cunfer of Slatington, - Timothy J. Cunfer of Ashfield; daughters: - Mary A. and husband Scott Stahler, - Ruth A. Cunfer, both of Palmerton; Grandchildren: - Cassandra, Nathan, Maddison, Jacob, Trace, Beau; Great-Grandchildren: Nicole, Marigold; Jacob; Brothers: - John Peet and wife Karlene of Coudersport, PA, - Robert Peet, and wife Lee of CA, - Marion Peet and wife Beth of Coudersport, PA. She was predeceased by a brother Raymond Peet. A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, December 16, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 40 S. Second St, Slatington. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 A.M. at the church. - Interment to follow at Dinkey Memorial Cemetery, Ashfield. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
