Seven persons escaped serious injury when the car in which they were riding plunged down a 25-foot embankment in Moore's Run about 3:45 p. m. Sunday. The accident sent one of the passengers to the hospital suffering a back injury. The car was driven by Mrs. Norman W. Bickford, of Coudersport. Passengers were her 16-year-old son, Howard, two small daughters, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Mix and their daughter, of Bolivar, N. Y. Mrs. Mix was hospitalized here until Monday. According to reports, this is what happened: Meeting a car on the narrow earth road, Mrs. Bickford stopped her automobile. In passing, the other car touched the Bickford auto. The impact caused the rain-soaked earth at the top of the embankment to give way. The Bickford car rolled over once on its plunge. The car came to rest right side up against a tree. The driver of the other car, whose name was not disclosed, stopped after travelling some distance beyond the accident scene. Passengers in the wrecked car had difficulty extricating themelves, it was reported, after a door slammed shut. Howard Bickford was treated by a physician for a minor arm injury. He also suffered a neck injury. Two Elkland Men Must Pay Fines Carl B. Freeland, Elkland, was charged Sunday with loaning license tags. George L. Cook, also Elkland, was charged with misuse of plates. Freeland's case was filed with Justice James R. Jtizer of Elkland and the Cook casd with Justice C. L. Jordan of Gold.
