James Tucker Dies
End Comes Suddenly for Well Known Local Resident.
Friends were greatly shocked Saturday when it became known that James Tucker was dead. Mr. Tucker had not been in good health since December but he was able to be about. A heart attack was given as the cause or death.
James Bert Tucker was the son of the late Bert and Luella Morrison Tucker. He was born at Andrews Settlement, June 14, 1894. His whole life was spent in Coudersport and this section.
Mr. Tucker married Evelyn Maroney of Coudersport, June 1, 1927. She, with
- one son. Jack B. Tucker, survive.
Other survivors are
two brothers, a half brother and a half sister:
- E. H. Tucker, Colesburg;
- Frank C. Tucker, Roulette;
- Guy A. Veley, Washington, D. C;
- Mrs. Charles Beckman, Long Beach, Calif.
Deceased was a veteran of world War I, was a member of the American Legion, Eulalia Lodge, No. 342, F. & A. M., and Coudersport Consistory.
Funeral service was held from the family home at 3:30 Monday afternoon with the Rev. Gordon W. Loomis officiating.
Burial In Eulalia Cemetery was with military honors. William Funcheon was the chaplain in charge and taps were sounded as a farewell to a jovial man well liked by all who knew him. Pallbearers were:

- David Yardley.
