Subject: RE: Frances Whiteman (Francis?)
First of all, if you have a family tree software that has the capability of importing a gedcom file I would be happy to send you mine. I have traced the Wetzels back to Johan Nikolas and Maria Barbara Motz who are Johannes Martin Wetzel Sr's parents. Johannes is the member of the family who brought our ancestors to the US. They arrived in Philadelphia on 9/21/1731 aboard the ship "Britannia". I've researched the main players and am just now adding the bulk of the extended families. But would be happy to send it to you.
As far as the Brookover line goes Mary A. Brookover's parents were Jacob Brookover b. 1795 and Jane Elizabeth Scott. Jacob Brookover's parents were John Brookover and Ellizabath Pertley.
I'll start sending the photos. I send them from my aol acct because they are better at compressing them so when you see the addy, cozzkell@aol.com, thats me with the pics.
Murrells Inlet is just outside of Myrtle Beach, SC. I'm about 2 hours from Charleston.
About me, well lets see. I grew up in New Martinsville, Wetzel Co. WV. And yes I grew up with all the family rumors, stories and tidbits. I can say I've actually walked where Capt. John and Lewis Wetzel "the indian fighter" walked. I have an associates degree in Marketing and an associates degree in Marketing. I am self employed and work from home. I am an author and copywriter. I have written my first novel and am in the long painful and frustrating phase of trying to publish. I am currently working on books 2 and 3. I write ad copy for clients who need copywriters. I don't work for a specific but freelance. As I told you in my first attachment, I'm married to a marine. We have 2 daughters, Kaitlyn who is 10 and Courtney who is 5. I also have a son from my first marriage, Joshua who is 17.
I left WV in 1990 and moved to Austin, TX where I met my husband. When my uncle and grandfather were dying of cancer in 1995, I moved to South Carolina in order to be closer and shorten the trip. Of course after not dealing with snow, I couldnt move any further north. lol
That's pretty much the basics. lol I'm so glad we met and look forward to staying in touch and learning more about each other and our ancestors.
Kelly

William was known to our family as ?Billdad?. He was a big man. He was 6?4?. He and Frances lived on top of a very steep hill just outside of New Martinsville. He had to park down lower because it was too steep to drive his car up. The only way he could get up to the house was by using his tractor. Francis was only 5? tall. Francis had a pipe organ in her living room and her and Billdad used to love to sing hymns together. As Francis got older she began losing her hearing.
