He was born 18 May 1792 in Coventry CT and died 9 Jan 1874 in Bingham, Potter Co. PA. He married about 1820 to my 2nd cousin 5x removed, Lydia Lyman, daughter of Silas & Lydia (Hutchinson) Lyman Jr. I am connected by DNA to both Lydias. Converse Enos Grover Nov. 6 1846-Dec. 26 1924. DEATH OF C. E. GROVER Prominent Lumberman and Mill Wright of Early Days Died Friday Convers E. Grover, a pioneer resident of this section, died at the McGranor Hospital Friday morning, December 26th in his 79th year. Mr. Grover was formerly prominent in the industrial life of this community and was for many years actively engaged as a mill wright having erected many of the saw mills so common here about in past years. In 1885 he purchased the Barrett planing mill in this borough and was a resident here until after the death of his wife in 1898. Mr. Grover married Alice Burt, a daughter of John K. Burt of Burtville in 1879, to whom the following children were born. Orilla, now Mrs. Miner Grimes, Letha, who died in 1904, Martin Grover now a resident of New York City and Mrs. Mable Thompson of Wellsville, N.Y. In 1906 Mr. Grover again united in marriage to Mrs. Delphina Wieper who survives him. Mr. Grover was born upon the John Cone farm only a short distance from the Grover homestead, where he was living with his daughter, Orilla at the time of his last illness. He is also survived by a half brother, John Bacon and a brother, G. W. Grover, both of Michigan and one sister, Mrs Delilah Falk of Port Allegany. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Chattin at the home of the deceased on Monday afternoon and interment in the Grimes Cemetary.
