• To Be Wedded In Paris This Summer
Mme. Maurice Bilbaut of Paris, France, has announced the engagement of her daughter, Monique, to J. Allan Hovey Jr., son of Mr. Hovey of Churchville, Pa. and Mrs. Lois Clark Hovey of Canton, N. Y., formerly of Rochester and Coudersport.
The bride-elect is graduate of the Sorbonne and a teacher of French at Swarthmore College.
Mr. Hovey, an alumnus of Swarthmore College, is at present studying at the institute Universitaire des Hautes Etudes Internationales at Geneva, Switzerland. The wedding will take place this summer in Paris.

Gerald Carley has opened a dry goods store in the buildin gwhich was occupied by the State Bank.
He has a line of men's and women's clothing and expects to increase his stock as soon as possible.
Mr & Mrs Major Weimer, Mrs E.L. Carpenter and Mrs Clella Murphy went to Olean Tuesday evening due to the death of a cousin, Claude Sill. Mr Sill was the son of DeFoest and Dora Johnson Sill.
