Found this old list of Damascus Tanning employees dated May 11, 1960. There were 4 of the Pesock brothers, including my dad, working there at the same time. Also my mom's brother, William Bobinko. Love this!!!

Mary Durst
My husband's father also worked there for many years until he had a stroke in 1955. Dave says he also remembers his father, William Durst talking about Frank Pekarski, Brant;s father. I didn't see either of their names. Maybe because they no longer worked there in 1960. Dave's Dad passed away in April 1959.

Miss Helen Buchanan is a surgical patient in the Potter County Memorial Hospital.
Russell Rees, a teacher at Holley, N.Y., spent a few days recently with his mother, Mrs. Margueriate Wolz.
H. H. Pett has returned home from Sayre recently following several weeks at the Robert Packer Hospital.
Mrs. John Pfuntner of Wellsville, N. Y., and son, Don Lehman and family of Pasadena. Calif., visited Mrs. Elizabeth Gridley Thursday.
A/3c Richard Buchanan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buchanan spent the long weekend with his parents. He is stationed at Port Austin, Mich.
Duane Austin and his daughter. Linda, of Fort Thomas, Ky., have rented an apartment at the Lindy Motel. Mr. Austin is doing some writing.
Mrs. Jessie Gould and daughter, Mildred, of Williamsport, were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Walden. Mrs. Gould is a daughter of Mrs. Walden. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Criss went to Knoxville Saturday after noon to call on Mrs. Jennie Slaughter. Mrs. Slaughter entered Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Monday, for goiter surgery.
Philip Blow, a student at Drexel Institute, Philadelphia, arrived Friday morning to spend a couple of days with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Blow, Coudersport and Mr. and Mrs. Fred McCarthy, : Andrews Settlement. He returned to Philadelphia Sunday afternoon.

James M. Marzo “beloved brother, uncle, and friend”
COUDERSPORT, Pa.---James “Jim” Marzo, 79, of Coudersport, formerly of Shinglehouse, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport, after a short illness. Born on Saturday, August 30, 1941 in Coudersport, he was a son of Attore J. and Josephine A. Mancuso Marzo. Jim was a graduate of Coudersport High School, Class of 1959. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Lock Haven State Teachers College in 1963 and his Master’s Degree from Mansfield State Teachers College in 1970. Jim spent his teaching career at the Oswayo Valley Elementary School in Shinglehouse from 1963 until retiring in 1997. During this time he was very involved in many of the elementary and high school activities. He enjoyed working at many extra jobs throughout his lifetime. He was a school bus driver, a bartender at the Coudersport Golf Club, a florist at the former Menschel’s Flowers and Gift Shop in Coudersport, a driver for Adelphia where he met many interesting people along the way, and lastly was a delivery person for Buchanan Brothers’ Pharmacy in Coudersport. Jim was a very active member of St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Coudersport and was a 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 1355. Jim was a member and past president of the Shinglehouse Borough Council. He was also a member of the former Oswayo Valley Lions Club in Shinglehouse and also was involved in many activities throughout Shinglehouse while he was a resident. He was a member of many retired teacher professional organizations. Jim was also a member of Potter Players and Community Chorus in Coudersport. He was a world traveler, visiting 48 states and 22 countries. He loved to share his travels and adventures with everyone. He loved stopping at the casino to play Bingo and also enjoyed playing cards with his friends. He loved to decorate for Christmas and other holidays. He was famous for his desserts, cakes, and cookie recipes, especially his mother’s Italian cookie recipes. His family, friends and neighbors will miss his delicious cookies. He was a fun loving person and loved life. His family was extremely important to him. Left to cherish his memory are a sister, Mary M. (Richard) Buchanan of Coudersport; eight nieces and nephews, Joseph N. (Susan) Marzo, Jr. of Coudersport, John M. (JoAnn) Marzo of Williamsville, N.Y., Jerald L. (Susan) Marzo of Lafayette, N.Y., Mary L. (Darren) Wright of Cortland, N.Y., Thomas A. (Robin) Marzo of Owego, N.Y., Melanie S. Hunt of Sparta, N.J., Julie A. (Brian) McCusker of Coudersport, and Christie (Erik) Keglovits of Coudersport; twenty-four grandnieces and grandnephews; ten great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews; and a sister-in-law, Julie M. Marzo of Owego, N.Y. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by a brother, Joseph N. Marzo, Sr.; and a niece, Michele A. Evans. Family and friends are invited to call from 12:30pm to 2:15pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021, in the gathering space of St. Eulalia Catholic Church, Coudersport. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be celebrated at 2:30pm with the Rev. James Campbell, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Eulalia Catholic Cemetery, Coudersport. COVID-19 restrictions will be strictly adhered to, including social distancing and properly worn facial coverings. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Eulalia Catholic Church, 6 East Maple Street, Coudersport, PA 16915 or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Jim’s family has entrusted his care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
