Metta Nelson listed in the 1923 photo was my mother's cousin. And not sure if the Higley is related to my mother as her mother was a Higley.

As with the multiple daughters of Albert & Dorothy Fuller Davey family, who lived and married along route 49 out of Coudersport, PA, the many daughters of Emil & Wilhelmina Kortz Mosch, married men who lived along route 49.
Minnie Mosh, seen in this photo, was the last born of their 6 daughters. Though one died as a toddler the rest all married along route 49. Paul Lynn Gardner will be familiar with this family tree.

Groundbreaking was held by the Coudersport Chamber of Commerce on the Norman Leete farm in November 1957.
By January 1959, the 36,000 sq. ft. building was open for production, with a workforce of 63. At that time, Pure Carbon produced carbon brushes for electric motors and related products.
As the product line evolved, expansions took place in 1967, 1972 and 1974, for a total of 120,000 sq. feet.
