He was a retired nurseryman and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors: - widow, Mrs. Mable Whetsell sons: - Donald A., - John, - Horace Whetsell, all of Knoxville; - Stewart, Baltimore, Md. daughter: Mrs. Reuben C. Greene, Powell; brother: William (Bill), Knoxville; sisters: - Mrs. Lester McGuise, Knoxville, - Mrs. L.A. Riggs, Cincinatti, Oh 18 grandchildren; 4 grgrandchildren. The body is at the home of D.A. Whetsell, Callahan Road. Funeral services 2:30 pm at Ridgeview Baptist Church, Rev George Gilbert, officiating. The body will lie in state one hour before services. Interment in Memorial Gardens in Anderson County, Pallbearers: Hugh, Andy, & Bill Whetsell Jim Cole Roy Lee Weaver's in charge.
