[Published Feb 13, 1919] - Mrs. Emma Knight Dies Suddenly of Apoplexy.
Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church in Roulette occurred the funeral services of Mrs. Emma Knight, wife of Ira Knight, of Roulette. Her death came suddenly as a result of apoplexy.
She was forty-eight years old last June and was the daughter of the late Michael Weimer.
She is survived by
- her husband and
seven children.
Reverand Lowman, pastor of the Methodist church officiated at the funeral services.

OBITUARIES
Mrs. Alwin Seefeldt
Mrs. Anna F. Seefeldt, 81, of Roulette, died late Friday afternoon (Aug. 28, 1970) in Port Allegany Community Hospital following an illness of four months.
Born in Coudersport on Nov. 20, 1888, she was the daughter of Joseph and Minnie Fleshutz Klesa. She was married in 1904 to Chester Coons in Olean and in 1930 wed Alwin J. Seefeldt in Buffalo, N.Y.
Mrs. Seefeldt had lived in Roulette for 22 years and was a member of the Buffalo Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Carroll Coons of Jamestown, N.Y., and Earl Coons of Cleveland, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Lillian) Genaux and Mrs. Frances (Florence) English, both of Roulette, and Mrs. William (Vera) Cotter of Irvington, N.J., 11 grandchildren and several great -grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Marjorie) Rugaber of Elmira, N.Y., and Mrs. Carl (Mildred) Berne of Coudersport; one brother, Fordyce Kleasa of Elmira, and several nieces and nephews. A son, Robley Coons, was killed in World War II in 1944.
A funeral service was held Monday in Grabe-Fickinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Peter Bolster, pastor of Port Allegany Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Hill Cemetery, Roulette. Pall bearers were Jack Close, Charles Eckert, Garrett Hurd, George Blackwell, Howard Smith and Earl McDowell.
Mrs. Kenneth Hyde
Mrs. Orva May Hyde, 62, of Fishing Creek, died Friday morning (Aug. 28, 1970) in Cole Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for several days.
Mrs. Hyde was born on Feb. 7, 1908 in Fishing Creek, the daughter of Ira and Emma Weimer Knight. She became the wife of Kenneth Hyde in Portville on Nov. 30, 1927.
A lifetime resident of Fishing Creek, she was a member of the United Methodist Church and Roulette Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Vera June Stonemetz of Shinglehouse; one son, Capt. Robert Hyde of the U. S. Armed Forces; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Murle, Claude and DeForest Knight, all of Roulette; two sisters, Mrs. Vesta Miller and Mrs. Robert (Vida) Robinson of Roulette. The Rev. T. Lee Bennett, pastor of Roulette United Methodist Church, officiated at a funeral service Monday afternoon in Fishing Creek United Methodist Church. A prayer service in Grabe-Fickinger Funeral Home preceded the funeral.
Burial was in Fishing Creek Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Carroll Winseck, Fred Knowlton, Robert Green, John Drabert, Herbert Sewell and John Gordon.
Members of Roulette Rebekah Lodge conducted memorial services at the funeral home on Sunday evening.
Fight May Have Been Real Cause Of Man's Death
Aloysius K. Drapcho, criminal investigator for the Coudersport Barracks of the Pennsylvania State Police, is investigating the "suspicious" death of a Chester, Pa., man, 51-year-old George Larkins.
The victim was admitted to Cole Memorial Hospital Aug. 15 at which time he told hospital officials he had fallen from a parked vehicle and had struck his head on pavement. Two days later he was transferred to Sacred Heart Hospital at Chester where he died Aug. 18 of spinal cord injuries.
Reportedly, police were later informed the victim was involved in a fight which allegedly occurred somewhere in Hector Twp., the night he was injured. Name of the suspect is being withheld until completion of the investigation.
Sgt. Thomas Hamilton Assigned To Viet Nam
Sgt. Thomas Howard Hamilton, son of Marshall and Kathleen Hamilton of Coudersport, was recently assigned to a tour of duty, in Viet Nam.
Sgt. Hamilton entered the army in August, 1967 and completed basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. He is presently in Nurmberg, Germany where he was chosen outstanding soldier of the year in June.
Sgt. Hamilton and his wife, Anita, will arrive in Coudersport to spend a 30-day leave with his family.
Lt. Wingo Assigned To Vietnam Division
Army First Lieutenant Kenneth J. Wingo Jr., 24, whose parents and wife, Marcia, live on Route 2, Ulysses, was assigned July 21 to the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) near Quan Loi, Vietnam.
Lt. Wingo, a pilot in Troop B, 1st Squadron of the division's 9th Cavalry, entered the Army in June 1968 and was last stationed at Ft. Rucker, Ala. He received his commission through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps. program at Alfred (N.Y.) University where he received a B.A. degree in political science in 1968.

In a note accompanying his Enterprise renewal check, he writes: "It's been a long time since we left Coudersport-16 years-but we still enjoy receiving the Enterprise. Put us on the list for two more years." Many thanks, friends!

Miss Fern House left Saturday for Cincinnati, Ohio where she will be a junior in high school in God's Bible School.
She was accompanied by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald House of Coudersport.

farmer, P.O. Roulette, son of George and Eve Weimer, was born in Alsace, France, in 1824.
He came with his parents to America in 1830, locating in Roulette township, where he was reared. After reaching manhood he located on the farm he now owns in Roulette township, and engaged in business as a farmer, also dealing extensively in lumber.
He was married in 1849 to Rebecca, daughter of Elder Barr, and their children are
Loetta, wife of William Tauscher;
Sarah, wife of Perry Brock;
George;
Eve, wife of Isaac Dingman;
Nettie F., wife of Llewellyn Matteson;
Ida, wife of Delno Wright;
Viola, wife of Edgar Whaley;
Augusta, wife of R. Lee Burt;
Gracie, wife of William Ruby;
Emily, and
Michael.
Mrs. Weimer died April 13, 1887. Both were members of the Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Weimer is a member of the Democratic party.
During the war he enlisted in Company A, Ninety-ninth Pennsylvania Volunteers, and was mustered out of the service in 1865.
