Mrs. David Ulxford was in Elmlra last week selecting her spring and tsu mm or stock of millinery goods, Mrs. Ethan Allen has returned from Hornellsvllle where she has been visiting for the past week. Miss Bertha Wilcox of Hebron, visited frionds in town last week. Leroy Allen of Gale ton, was shaking hands with old acquaintances la town last Tuesday.
The dance given In the hall last Friday evening for the benefit of Mr. Ward was well attended and a good time reported Mrs. Silas Barnes and little daught er Marlon, Miss Minnie Rockfello and Miss Bertha Wilcox, were in Clean last Friday. Mrs. Harris has returned from Cross Fork where she has been spending the winter with her daughters, Mrs.
Alva Taggart and Mrs. Walter Reed. Fred Heed spent Sunday with his parents In this place. Mr. and Mrs.
Marion Manley were visiting friends and relatives in Coud-ersport and Sweden Valley last Friday and Saturday. Weldon Gibson of Coudersport, was the guest of his cousin, Mrs. George Burton over Sunday. He has just returned from Canada where he has been visiting hiB parents. Married at Ceres N.
YM April 5th, 1898, by L. J. White, J. P., Mr. Frank Reed and Miss Gertrude Staysa, two of our most respected young couple.
The bride wore a very becoming suit of brown trimmed with silk and cream lace. On their return Wednesday evening they were given a reception at the home of the bride's parents after which they all adjourned to the hall where they Bpent the rest of the evening in dancing and participating in refreshments consisting of ice cream warm sugar and cake. The presents were pretty and useful. All departed for their homes wishing Mr. and Mrs.
Reed a long and happy wedded life. May their pathway be strewn with flowers is the wish of their many friends..
