This looks like the Coudersport school building. Birthdates are about 1912, but without the year, one can't pin the date, or vice versa. 17 in the back row, 15 names.

Yes and he was a great teacher. I didn't have him but my brother, Steve, did and thought highly of him. One story about Monte is long before school breakfasts, he noticed one of his student came to school each morning, hungry. So,he started taking a breakfast they could share before class, sparing the student humiliation and getting him or her off to a good start for the day.

The order of the Eastern Star is a society that is similar to that of the Masons. They are charitable, educational, fraternal, and scientific. Both organizations work in concert and some Free Masons belong to both groups. The Eastern star uses the same facilities as The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in Coudersport. The Coudersport Consistory is one of the largest Masonic Temples in America, which at one time had almost 10,000 members.
