Timothy A. Schaub “beloved son, brother and uncle”
COUDERSPORT, Pa.---Timothy A. “Tim” Schaub, 51, a lifelong resident of Coudersport, passed away with his loving family by his side on Monday, March 26, 2018, in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport, after a long illness.
Born on March 1, 1967 in Coudersport, he was a son of Lewis S. “Louie” and Louise McNulty Schaub.
Tim was a 1985 graduate of Coudersport High School. He was a two time All Star in basketball and was the Most Valuable Player for the North Tier League in 1984. He was a member of the golf team in high school and was the Prom King in his senior year in high school. He graduated from Mansfield University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Tim was employed by Potter County Human Services as a caseworker for 18 years until retiring due to ill health.
Tim was a member and a deacon of the First United Presbyterian Church in Coudersport. He was an avid Red Sox fan and Minnesota Vikings fan. He was a former member of the Coudersport Golf Club. He enjoyed music and photography. He was very active in the Special Olympics program and was the recipient of the WOW Award for working with the bowling team in 2004.
Surviving are his parents of Coudersport;
a sister, Nan M. (Don) Tanner of Turtlepoint;
a brother, David M. (Janice Nolan) Schaub of Bellefonte;
four nieces,
- Amy Schaub Karfonta,
- Angela Schaub Stebila,
- Anne Schaub Parise, and
- Sara Schaub Tyson;
a nephew, Travis Tanner;
twelve grandnieces and grandnephews,
- Nolan and Adam Karfonta,
- Madison, Michael, Matthew, and Benjamin Stebila,
- Dominic, Abigail and Isabella Parise, and
- Anna, Jack, and Molly Tyson;
and several aunts, uncles, and cousins
Tim was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Family and friends are invited to call from noon to 2pm on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the First United Presbyterian Church, 402 North Main Street, Coudersport, where funeral services will follow at 2pm with the Rev. Carl P. Greene, Interim Minister of Worship and Pastoral Care, officiating.
Burial will be in Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport.
The family will provide flowers. Memorials in Tim’s name may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church, 402 North Main Street, Coudersport, PA 16915 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Tim’s family has entrusted his care to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.

Linda Russell Klingaman I sure hope we get Crashers at ours! If we could get the "No Practice" Band to come next year....we could ask for donations to come party after the dinner....that would make some dollars for the library and pool. Plus....good fun!
