BAKER Edmund Moolimer (Mortimer? -jcw) Baker, was born April 9, 1855 at Andover, NY and was a son of Abigail and Daniel Baker. He lived in Roulette and vicinity until 24 years of age, when he drifted westward, being in 31 different states and some parts of Canada. He returned four years ago to his home town, making his home with his great nephew, Donald Baker, of Card Creek, the past two years until the time of death, October 26. Funeral services were held at Fishing Creek Church, Sunday, at 2:00 o'clock and conducted by the I.O.O.F. of Roulette, of which he was a member for 35 years. Burial was made in Fishing Creek Cemetery, with Rev. White officiating. His brother, M.E. Baker of Fishing Creek, is the only surviving one of the family of 16 children. Out of town relatives and friends attending were: Eldred- - Mr and Mrs. Tommy Strait, son Carl and daughter Mrs. Charlie Grant and husband; Andover, NY- - John Clair, Wellman Baker, Brint Baker, Mr & Mrs Will Green, Mr & Mrs Cy Rennells; Coudersport- - Isaac Baker, John Baker, Lute Baker, Mr & Mrs Jesse Falk; Sweden Valley- - Mr & Mrs Fred Kackett; Coneville- - Isa Burlew, Mr & Mrs Mart Morey and family; and many relatives and friends from Fishing Creek, Roulette, Card Creek and Sartwell Creek.
