Olive (Churchill) Samson brought her two young sons, George and Joseph into her marriage with Nehemiah. Olive Churchill's family is well documented in "The Churchill Family of America". Nehemiah and Olive are buried in the John Lyman Cemetery in Roulette, Potter County, PA as well as are John C. French and his oldest daughter, Helen Margaret French. Nehemiah and Olive's son John C. French was my great grandfather. John C. French was a noted author and contributor/collaborator regarding Pennsylvania wildlife and folklore/music. I have transcribed John's book, "The Passenger Pigeon in Pennsylvania" in its entirety to Joyce Tice's Tri-Counties History and Genealogy Site. There is interesting family information regarding Nehemiah's father William and other family members included in the book(s). John C. French m. Effie Deans Donshea. Their one son, Robert W. French was my grandfather. Robert m. Florence Emma Boucher. Their only child was my mother, Dorothy French. Nehemiah's parents were William French and (H)Esther (Martin), d/o John Gideon Martin and Tammer Houlette (sp).
