Darby's were related to the Dorns by marriage of Genevieve Darby to Harry Dorn. Harry had the bar for a long time on Buffalo Street. Robert Dorn lived across Proctor from Scoop and John Darby. I have to laugh, it was on these steps, when I was growing up, that I was told the "facts of life." I knew these things couldn't be true and I stomped off home mad about the whole thing. Like · Reply · 6d Cindy Dorn That was Scoop's house on Proctor. Practically grew up there. The other picture is of my house on East Main Street. I showed this picture to my sister and she says she thinks the truck belonged to her boyfriend, Dick Ryman from Knoxville when he would come to visit. That house has so many stories. My grandfather originally owned it (Grandpa Darby) and he bought it from the Tannery. He died in the up stairs hall where he would do puzzles sitting at his card table. He was Polish and rarely spoke English. Lots of stories there too.
