Willis was my Father and he died on 12-26-64 it says brother so maybe a brother was still alive. My Father died before his mother Rose.

I was told my grandmother Mary Jane Hatfield Howes had heart problems and took doses of liquid digitalis (in small bottle) she kept high upon a kitchen shelf. So I'd say heart. She was 65 when she died in 1939. I was 5 months old. My oldest sister was 5 and remembered grandma Mary. I don't know what Nancy Belle Hatfield Vance died of. Nor what Rose died from. There's another sister Elizaeth (Betty) Hatfield Caldwell not shown here, possibly still alive at the time these were copied. If you note the death dates
Nancy died 5/1/1939 and
my grandmother Mary died 5/5/1939.
