Gayle M. Milliron Daugherty
PUNXSUTAWNEY - Gayle M. Milliron Daugherty, 72, formerly of Rixford and Smethport, PA, passed away on Wednesday (May 31, 2017) at Riverside Manor following a brief illness.
Born on Sept. 27, 1944 in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of Erdice and Nellie Berdella Dorsett Milliron. On Aug. 21, 1965, in the EUB Church in Rixford she married Larry Dean Daugherty, who passed away in 2005.
She had been employed by the Bradford Hospital, Jaguar Manufacturing in Smethport and Case Cutlery in Bradford.
She was a 1962 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School and was a member of the Sawyer Evangelical Church and a former member of the Smethport Senior Center. Gayle very much enjoyed the monthly lunches with her high school girlfriends. She loved the Pennsylvania outdoors and going sightseeing in the area.
Surviving are sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Milliron of Grove City, and Lois Milliron Kohler of Orchard Park, N.Y., a stepsister, Judy Owens of Indianapolis, Ind., and a niece, Lisa (David) Matthews of Punxsutawney, three nephews, Brent (Amanda) Milliron of Grove City and David Milliron in Florida and Scott (Lisa) Milliron of Orchard Park and several stepnieces and stepnephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gayle was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Milliron in 1972 and Theodore Milliron in 2016, a stepbrother, Marshall Trowbridge in 2007.
Friends may call at the Frame Funeral Home, Eldred, on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at which time the memorial service will be held. Burial will follow in the McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.

Margie A. Weaver, 65, of 568 Meadow Rd., Emporium died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium on Tuesday (September 4, 2012) evening.
She was born March 13, 1947 in Port Allegany a daughter of the late Millard and Annabelle Kinney Daugherty.
On December 21, 1974 in DuBois she married the late Thomas Weaver.
Mrs. Weaver graduated from Port Allegany High School in the class of 1965. She worked at Cameron Manufacturing for several years and was later self-employed as a housekeeper for many local families and businesses. She enjoyed playing cards and her trips to Salamanca, NY. She also enjoyed open "Mic" night on Tuesdays at the Aroma Cafe' and her morning coffee group get-togethers.
