Helen June Baker
H. June Baker, 93, of Roulette, PA formerly of Hickory St., Port Allegany passed away Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2017) in Sweden Valley Manor, Coudersport.
Born June 19, 1923, in Port Allegany, she was a daughter of John F. and Elizabeth White McLaughlin.
In December 1944, she married Harold C. Baker, who died July 6, 1979.
Mrs. Baker had worked for Farmelo’s Stores in Port Allegany, and later the former Viko Furniture Co. (now Ethan Allen) in Eldred, before her retirement.
June was a lifetime resident of the area and a member of the former Evangelical United Methodist Church, Port Allegany.
She was an avid reader and sewer.
Surviving are
two sons, - Harold J. “Nick” (Debbie) Baker of Eldred,
- Michael J. (Rena) Baker of Roulette;
two daughters, - Helen P. “Sue” (Gary) Daugherty of Port Allegany,
- Catherine A. (Charles) Hardes of Billings, Mont.;
9 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren;
a sister-in-law - Doris McLaughlin of Port Allegany;
and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold,
two brothers, - Jack and
- James McLaughlin;
and a sister, - Martha B. Kelly.
A memorial service will be held at a later date and time to be announced.

Margie A. Weaver, 65, of 568 Meadow Rd., Emporium, PA
Margie A. Weaver, 65, of 568 Meadow Rd., Emporium died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium on Tuesday (September 4, 2012) evening.
She was born March 13, 1947 in Port Allegany a daughter of the late Millard and Annabelle Kinney Daugherty.
On December 21, 1974 in DuBois she married the late Thomas Weaver.
Mrs. Weaver graduated from Port Allegany High School in the class of 1965. She worked at Cameron Manufacturing for several years and was later self-employed as a housekeeper for many local families and businesses. She enjoyed playing cards and her trips to Salamanca, NY. She also enjoyed open "Mic" night on Tuesdays at the Aroma Cafe' and her morning coffee group get-togethers.

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday from 4-6 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium on Saturday (September 8, 2012) at 10:00 AM with Pastor Tammy Claydon, officiating.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium.
