Margie A. Weaver, 65, of 568 Meadow Rd., Emporium died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium on Tuesday (September 4, 2012) evening.
She was born March 13, 1947 in Port Allegany a daughter of the late Millard and Annabelle Kinney Daugherty.
On December 21, 1974 in DuBois she married the late Thomas Weaver.
Mrs. Weaver graduated from Port Allegany High School in the class of 1965. She worked at Cameron Manufacturing for several years and was later self-employed as a housekeeper for many local families and businesses. She enjoyed playing cards and her trips to Salamanca, NY. She also enjoyed open "Mic" night on Tuesdays at the Aroma Cafe' and her morning coffee group get-togethers.

Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium.

CROSS FORK - Harry L. Kinney, 81, of Cross Fork died Monday evening, March 25, 1991 in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport. He had been in failing health for the past two years.
Born May 1,1909 in Cross Fork, he was the son of Elisha M. and Jane Caldwell Kinney. He attended Betula schools.
He and Betty Rauch were married Dec. 24,1938 in Little Meadows, Pa.
A well-known merchant, Mr. Kinney owned and operated Kinney's « Store, Bar and Cabins in Cross Fork for 63 years. The family business is now owned and operated by his son,Jeffrey Kinney of Cross Fork.
He will be fondly remembered by many as the writer of "The Mountain Boy Column" which appeared in The Renovo Record and The Potter Leader Enterprise for many years. The column also appeared in The Express at one time.
He was also the author of the two-volume history of Cross Fork, "Story of a Ghost Town."
Mr. Kinney was cofounder of the Cross Fork Sportsmen's Association and the annual Cross Fork Snake Hunt.
He was a member of the Kettle Creek Hose Co. and Ambulance Association and a life member of the Keystone Reptile Club, Pleasant Valley Grange, Renovo Elks Lodge 334 and the Ancient Scottish Rite.
A 32nd Degree Mason of the Galeton Lodge 602 and the Coudersport Consistory, he was a member of the Jaffa Temple in Altoona, the Clinton County and Tri County Shrine Club and the Potter County Commandry 69.
Mr. Kinney was a past president of the former Renovo Hospital Board of Directors, the Potter County Recreation Association and the Four-County Tourist Promotion Agency.
He also served as a Potter County deputy coroner for about nine years.
Mr. Kinney was a member of the former Methodist Church of Cross Fork and retained his membership when the church moved to Betula over 70 years ago.
Surviving, along with his wife and son, are
four daughters,
- Ms. William (Mary) Arnold of Hammersley Fork,
- Mrs. Daryl (Patty) Friese and
- Mrs. Mike (Debbie) Stone, both of Cross Fork, and
- Mrs. William (Kim) Fickel of Carlisle;
and seven grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters,
- Annabelle Daughterdy of Port Allegany, Pa. and
- Shirley Carlson of Clermont, Pa.;
two brothers,- Donald Kinney of Johnsonburg and
- Gerald Kinney of Clermont;
several nieces and nephews.
