The Hurds came to Genesee about Jfl5 and settled on tl'e farm now owned and occupied by Harry s. Hurd, and has been continually occupied by one of the fam ily since the first arrival. Mrs. Cook and daughter and son of Belle Vernon are guests at the home of her sister, Mrs. Clyde Barr. Miss Gertrude Mays of Bradford pent last week with her aunt, Mrs. Gerald Wykoff. George A. Kenyon George A. Kenyon died Wednesday, August 2, 1950 at the home of his son Howard. He had been an invaIid for nearly two mouths, having suffered a stroke. He was born in Willing Township, N. Y., Dec. 25, 1867, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Kenyon, but most of his life was spent in Genesee. In early life he married Miss Elizabeth Gray, who died in 1928. He started and operated the store now operated by his son. With the son he Is survived by three grandchildren, Mrs. John Ruddenick of Elmira, Doris and Robert of Genesee; one great granddaughter, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Wilson of Port Allegany. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon in the Methodist Church, the Rev. A. J. Bailey officiating.
